The planned American superhero movie Deadpool & Wolverine is based on the Marvel Comics characters Wolverine and Deadpool. It is being released by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures and produced by Marvel Studios, Maximum Effort, and 21 Laps Entertainment. Shawn Levy, who co-wrote the script with Ryan Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and others, is the director of the movie, as well as Zeb Wells. Alongside Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, and Matthew Macfadyen, Reynolds and Hugh Jackman play Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively. In the movie, Deadpool is taken from his peaceful existence by the Time Variance Authority (TVA) and sent on a mission with Wolverine that will alter the course of the MCU.

By November 2016, 20th Century Fox had started work on a third Deadpool movie; however, once the company was taken over by Disney in March 2019, the project was put on hold. Marvel Studios gained control of the character and started working with Reynolds to make a new movie. It keeps the R rating from the previous movies while integrating Deadpool with the MCU. In November 2020, authors Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin joined. By the time Levy was appointed director in March 2022, Reese and Wernick had returned from the previous movie to rewrites. In August 2022, Jackman made the decision to play Wolverine once more in the Fox X-Men movies.By May 2023, it was revealed that Wells, Reynolds, and Levy were contributing to the script. Later that month, production got underway at Pinewood Studios in England. Additional scenes were shot at Bovingdon Film Studios and in Norfolk. Due to the SAG-AFTRA strike in 2023, production was halted in July. It was recommenced in November of the same year and concluded in January of 2024. A month later, the title of the movie was made public.

Phase Five of the MCU will see the debut of Deadpool & Wolverine in the United States on July 26, 2024.

Deadpool & Wolverine will be available in IMAX, RealD 3D, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, Cinemark XD, and other premium formats on July 25, 2024, in the United Kingdom, and July 26 in the United States. Before that, it was supposed to take place on September 6, November 8, and May 3. It will appear in the MCU's Phase Five.
